Thanks for your answer, my worry is that there is a bit of an 'electrification will solve it all' myth around, kept alive by the industry that profits from selling the tools for transition to electric. I believe, as people that are aware of this, we have to be very clear about that. The way your article is written now confirms the idea that saving our culture/society can be done by technological 'progress' alone. Even though it is a different topic, I think we need to be very careful not to confirm this myth. If I ignore that bit, I really liked the article's explanation of the reasons why the managers are not capable to see the need to change their business model. As you know like no other, i see from following your work for a long time, the power of the water we swim in is strong, we really need to build a different narrative if we want to survive our current model. The electric myth is part of the current model, I do agree there is a role for clean and super light technology, once we have drastically reduced the needs with a different resilient and local lifestyle... oops i wrote my answer in English.... I am in an English-speaking environment now, sorry, you see how much influence the water we swim in has.....;_) thanks for all the work you are doing i really enjoy reading de chononauten.

beste Christiaan, ik vraag me af hoe je als futurist nog kunt geloven dat de elektrische transitie iets met duurzaamheid te maken heeft? Het is niet mogelijk of wenselijk onze huidige extreem verspillende levensstijl en cultuur opgebouwd met kolonialisme, uitbuiting van mensen en veel te goedkope energie zomaar met een andere energiebron te voeden zonder het toch al beschadigde ecosysteem moeder aarde en haar bewoners nog meer schade aan te doen. Elektrisch rijden heeft alleen zin als we bijna niet meer rijden, dus lokaal gaan leven. In dit artikel gaan jullie daar volledig aan voorbij, hoe kan dat ?
